In December 2009, I set out to write an alternate history novel about Jews, baseball, Communism, Henry Ford, the Negro Leagues and New Jersey set in the 1920s and 30s. As you can guess from that description, I never want to be criticized for a lack of ambition.

With this blog, I hope to foster a sense of community with other first-time writers. Penning fiction is a difficult ordeal that can make you want to bang your head against the wall, but an open dialogue with other struggling scribes about the joys and pains of the creative process can make it a little more bearable.

Cool. I like this. I’ll have to read your prologue when I’m not wading through the Internet trying to go back to sleep. Really though, this is an awesome idea!
